General Enquiries

The following e-mail address is for general enquiries and comments (including document errors).  For document errors, include the document title and date as shown in the document, and also the section or page number of the error.

ETAC Bug Report

You can report any ETAC bugs at the following e-mail address.  Be sure to mention the Windows® version that you're using and the ETAC program identification of the program and source file (if any) causing the bug.  It would be useful to provide a sample program that creates the bug.  Please do not report suggestions as bugs; a “bug” is program behaviour inconsistent with the documentation.

Note that if ETAC is installed on an operating system later than Windows® XP then RunETAC.exe and ETACCompiler.exe may need to be made compatible with that operating system if those programs seem not to be operating correctly.  This can be done via the Properties » Compatibility tab.  Select “Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 3)” and “Change settings for all users”.  In some cases, ETAC will behave strangely if it is not made compatible as mentioned, but will behave correctly once it is made compatible.

Before submitting a bug report, please see the list of current ETAC faults.  There is no need to report a fault that is already listed unless further information can be provided.
